Contemporary Residential Community: 50–60 Units

This ground-up residential development is located on a 20,000-square-foot lot in Newark’s thriving West Ward neighborhood. Designed to meet the city’s growing demand for high-quality housing, the project features two identical multi-family buildings with a total of 50 to 60 units—ranging from one- to three-bedroom layouts—distributed across three levels.

Each building includes 12–14 residential units per floor, with careful attention paid to space planning, natural light, and long-term livability. The units are oriented around a central driveway and landscaped entry zone, offering a strong sense of arrival and pedestrian-scale connectivity.

The design embraces a modern vernacular with clean rooflines, bold vertical rhythms, and contrasting materials such as fiber cement, natural wood-look accents, and masonry at the base. Large balconies, full-height glazing, and open-concept interiors enhance both form and function, appealing to a broad range of tenants.

Key amenities include:

  • 50 private parking spaces for resident convenience
  • Private balconies and ground-floor patios
  • Modern, efficient building systems
  • Strong street presence with accessible entries
  • Energy-efficient materials and code-compliant design
  • Local bus stop at the front of the facility

This project reflects a strong commitment to community-focused development, offering comfortable, contemporary housing while activating underutilized land and contributing to Newark’s urban revitalization.
